........A very long Hallway, previously badly stained dark brown. One view towards the front door, the other towards the rear wall. The builders renovating the property a few years ago did a very bad job of the sanding, and to cover up their sins they stained the floors. The stain and the whole job was so awful that the whole property had to be carpetted throug-out. So they stained the floors to hide the sanding, then they carpetted the floors to hide the staining....chasing their tails.
These pictures show the vast difference that can be achieved to the atmosphere of a home by a warm, welcoming hall.
