This work reclaimed the space used for an old fire hearth.
This floor had a load of new boards put in because the originals were destroyed by damp and builders repairing the damp. I replaced with boards from my stock, staggering the butt joints from the original straight cuts, which look amateurish and sloppy. Using Victorian replacement boards did away with the need for staining.
